Our first event at Sense of Wonder!

On 10 December 2025, with the support of Weltlesebühne, we welcomed the wonderful Karen Nölle to Sense of Wonder. Karen Nölle has translated numerous works by Ursula K. Le Guinl into German, either for the first time or as new translations, and was recently awarded the Kurd Laßwitz Prize for her work. In conversation with Carcosa publisher Hannes Riffel, she spoke about her enduring enthusiasm for this wonderful author, the challenge of translating Le Guin's novels and stories into German in a way that preserves the magic of the originals, and, last but not least, her visit to Ursula K.
